LAST WEEK'S GAMES -

Friday, October 25th

Wichita at Denver, 6-4 L

-Andrew Martens gave Wichita a 4-3 lead at the beginning of the third period, but Denver tallied three unanswered to pull out a 6-4 win on Friday night. Jason Wilson finished with two goals in his Thunder debut.

Saturday, October 26th

Wichita at Denver, 6-5 L (OT)

-Wichita let a three-goal lead slip away, but got the equalizer from Matt Robinson with less than two minutes remaining to force overtime. Former Thunder forward AJ Gale eventually won the game for the Cutthroats in the extra session.

400- Travis Wight played in his 400th professional game on October 19th against Allen. The Fannystelle, Manitoba native is in his fourth season with Wichita and is approaching Jason Duda's franchise record for most consecutive games played at 225 (March 3rd, 2000-November 18th, 2003). Wight, who claimed the CHL Man of the Year last season, is currently at 203.

94 - Andrew Martens registered a goal and an assist over the weekend and now has 94-career assists in a Thunder uniform. The Calgary, AB native is in his ninth pro season, fourth in Wichita and has 126 career points in Thunder Blue.

NEW ADDITIONS- Jason Wilson, Nick McParland and Jared Walker were added to the line-up before heading to Denver and all made contributions this past weekend. Wilson scored twice on Friday night, putting home a rebound to get the Thunder on the board early in the contest. He then added a power play goal in the second period off a nice feed from Mike Wilson. Walker had an assist on Friday night and two more on Saturday. McParland scored his first in Thunder blue on Saturday and chipped in two assists. The threesome combined for eight points and saw a ton of minutes in critical situations.

STEADY- Mike Wilson has proved to be a solid addition on the back-end and currently is riding a three-game point streak. He had an assist on Friday night and added his second goal of the season on Saturday. Wilson (2g, 2a) is tied with fellow teammates Tyler Hostetter (2g, 2a) and Andrew Martens (1g, 3a) in third place for scoring by a defenseman with four points.

BIG SPOTS- Matt Robinson has scored some big goals in his Thunder career and added to that list on Saturday night. He put home a Jon Booras pass with less than two minutes left to tie the game at five and gave the Thunder a chance to win the game. Over the weekend, he finished with three goals and now has 88-career goals in a Thunder uniform.

THUNDERBOLTS... Wichita played without the services of Ian Lowe, Matt Summers and RG Flath over the weekend...Jon Booras is tied for fourth in points and second in assists (7)...Nick McParland is tied for fourth in points for a rookie (3) and Burke Gallimore is tied in 6th (2)...Jesse Dudas is fourth in the league in penalty minutes (23)...Wichita has committed a league-high 48 minors...Wichita is third on the power play (20.5%)...Trailing after two, Wichita is 1-0-1...In one-goal games, Wichita is 1-1-2...Wichita had a season-high four-goal second period on Saturday night and scored its fastest goal to start a period (57 seconds)...

The Thunder returns home for two of its next three games, beginning Friday, November 1st against the Brampton Beast. Friday is Poster Schedule Night presented by Subway, 360 Wichita, EMC Insurance, Willowbend Golf Course and Kansas One Call. Friday is also Faith and Fellowship night, followed by a post-game concert with Abandon Kansas! Sunday is Social Media Night presented by Integrity Home Solutions.
