Sarnia Sting News Release
General Manager, Nick Sinclair, is pleased to announce that defenseman; Alex Black will join the Sarnia Sting for the 2014-15 Season. Black made his debut for the Sting in Monday's pre-season matinee against the Saginaw Spirit.
Selected 115th overall in last year's OHL Priority Selection, Black will add stability to the Sting's back-end. The 5'11" Kitchener native recorded 5 points in 21 games with the Cambridge Winter Hawks of the GOJHL last season.
Sinclair comments on the Sting's most recent signing. "I am very excited to welcome Alex to our team. Alex is a very high character player who will be a welcome addition to both our team on the ice and in the dressing room. He showed up to camp in tremendous shape and has certainly earned this opportunity. Alex will be an important player for us as we continue to add quality players with high character who compete every game."
