
Alessandrini's Goal Lifts LA Galaxy over San Jose Earthquakes 1-0

In their 12th match of the 2018 MLS Regular Season, the LA Galaxy defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 at StubHub Center.
With the result, the Galaxy are now 5-6-1 on the season with 16 points.
The Galaxy have now earned six points from their previous two matches, also winning on Monday in Montreal.
All time, the LA Galaxy have now gone 31-22-14 during MLS Regular Season games against the Earthquakes.
In home matches vs. San Jose, LA are 20-6-6.
In matches played at home, the Galaxy have gone 3-3-0 this season, scoring nine goals and conceding 11.
Friday's game marked LA's first match against San Jose this season, with the two sides set to face each other again on June 30 in San Jose.
The match marked the first game at StubHub Center since April 28.
Head Coach Sigi Schmid made one change to the Starting XI from Monday's game vs. Montreal as Chris Pontius started in place of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Midfielder Romain Alessandrini scored his second goal of the season.
In his MLS career, Alessandrini now has 15 goals and 13 assists in 39 games.
Midfielder Emmanuel Boateng recorded his second-straight game-winning assist when he assisted on Alessandrini's goal.
Goalkeeper David Bingham recorded his fourth shutout of the season, the 31th of his MLS career.
The Galaxy are now 46-45-28 all-time during the month of May.
LA Galaxy Head Coach Sigi Schmid has now gone 235-179-118 during his 19-year coaching career in Major League Soccer.
In their next match, the Galaxy will host FC Dallas on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. PT at StubHub Center.
