Aldegheri Sharp; Claws Roll to 6-0 Win on Friday Night

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Samuel Aldegheri threw five scoreless innings and struck out six in his BlueClaws debut as the BlueClaws on their third straight game, and 20th in their last 25 in a 6-0 win over Asheville on Friday at sold out ShoreTown Ballpark.

Jersey Shore (27-19/62-49) has taken three in a row from Asheville (18-28/44-63) after dropping the opener on Tuesday.

The BlueClaws opened the scoring quickly. Leadoff batter Justin Crawford singled and went to third on a Gabriel Rincones Jr. double. A wild pitch scored Crawford and a Kendall Simmons RBI single scored Rincones to make it 2-0 Jersey Shore.

Jersey Shore added a run in the fourth on a SAC fly from Leandro Pineda.

Aldegheri came out after five scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and no walks. He struck out six in his first start at ShoreTown Ballpark and second overall with Jersey Shore.

Bryan Rincon added an RBI single in the sixth and Leandro Pineda had an RBI single in the eighth.

Meanwhile, the Jersey Shore bullpen was sharp again. Four relievers - Jack Dallas, Rodolfo Sanchez, Konnor Ash, and Jason Ruffcorn - combined for four scoreless innings and allowed just one hit.

Rincon had two hits for the BlueClaws and eight of Jersey Shore's nine starters had hits in the win.

The teams continue their series on Saturday night at 7:05 pm. LHP Rafael Marcano starts for the BlueClaws.
