Aldegheri, Claws Rally for 2-1 Win over Hot Rods

JERSEY SHORE, NJ - Sam Aldegheri struck out seven over 6.2 excellent innings and the BlueClaws scored two runs on a throwing error in beating Bowling Green 2-1 on Wednesday night at ShoreTown Ballpark.
Jersey Shore (10-13) snapped a four-game skid with the win, while Bowling Green fell to 13-10 on the season.
Bowling Green opened the scoring in the first inning on a groundout by Cooper Kinney that scored Chandler Simpson from third. The BlueClaws loaded the bases in the bottom of the first inning but couldn't get the tying run across.
The BlueClaws took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With two men on base, Hendry Mendez stole second. Angel Galarraga tried to throw behind Bryan Rincon at third but threw it into left field, allowing both runners to score.
Aldegheri (2-0) struck out the first two batters of the seventh and exited with seven strikeouts over 6.2 tremendous innings. Cristian Hernandez got the next four outs, fanning three, while Wesley Moore threw a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his first save of the season.
Yoniel Curet (0-3) took the loss, giving up two unearned runs over six innings.
Bryan Rincon had two of the four BlueClaws hits in the game, adding his fourth stolen base of the year as well.
The teams continue their series on Thursday night at 6:35 pm. RHP Estibenzon Jimenez starts for Jersey Shore.
