Albert Almora Sent to AA-Tennessee, Daytona Gets OF Jacob Hannemann

Daytona Beach, FL - Albert Almora has been promoted to AA-Tennessee. OF Jacob Hannemann has been promoted from A-Kane County to Daytona.

In 89 games with Daytona, Almora (20) played 89 games and hit .283 (104-for-367) with seven home runs and 50 RBIs. He scored 55 runs and stole six bases in nine attempts.

Since July 1, Almora leads the Florida State League with 18 runs scored and 29 hits, and is tied for the league-lead with a .377 batting average and 11 extra-base hits. He is also tied for the second in the league with four home runs since the beginning of the month. Almora is also second in the FSL in slugging and OPS since July 1, trailing only former teammate Rock Shoulders. The Hialeah, FL native hit for the cycle on July 14 in Jupiter where he went 5-for-7 with four runs scored and five RBIs. Almora also had a five-hit game on April 5 against Brevard County.

Almora was selected by Chicago in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2012 draft out of Mater Academy Charter School in Hialeah, FL.

Hannemann (23) hit .254 (87-for-342) with six home runs and 39 RBIs in 88 games for Kane County. He stole 32 bases in 36 attempts, fourth-best in the Midwest League.

The Kahuku, HI native hit .333 (23-for-69) with runners in scoring position, and led off in all 86 games for Kane County.

Hannemann was selected by Chicago in the third round of the 2013 draft out of BYU.
