AirHogs held to three hits in 4-0 loss

July 21, 2013 - American Association (AA) - Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release

St. Paul- Mark Hamburger had a gem of a game for the St. Paul Saints as he shut out the AirHogs 4-0 Saturday night at Midway Stadium. The AirHogs could only get three hits off of Hamburger. Each getting one hit in the game was Ryan Pineda, Andres Rodriguez, and Austin Newell. The offense then seemed stalled for the AirHogs.

Pitching in the loss for the AirHogs was Brandon Bargas who did not have a bad outing. Bargas gave up only three runs, with two of them being earned in six innings of work. He gave up six hits and struck out three Saints. Jakob Cunningham pitched the seventh inning and gave up two hits and no runs. Cunningham also struck out one. Gabriel Garcia was put in in the eighth. He gave up one run on one hit.

The AirHogs and Saints will play the finale of their five-game series Sunday afternoon at 1:05 P.M. at Midway Stadium.
