Trois-Rivieres, Que. - An early lead for the Trois-Rivieres Aigles was extended in the later stages of the game, and it led to the largest margin of defeat for the Ottawa Champions yet this season.

A five-run fourth inning, and a six-run sixth propelled Trois-Rivieres to the 16-1 win, dropping Ottawa to three and a half games behind the Aigles for fifth in the Can-Am standings.

DH Alexi Colon and OF Javier Herrera each had four RBI in the Aigles win. The game also saw a solo home run for INF Kevin Cornelius.

INF Vinny Guglietti scored Ottawa's only run.

This lengthy four-game tango continues Wednesday evening with another game at Stade Stereo+ in Trois-Rivieres, Que.
