
AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today that Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights forward Lynn Loyns has been suspended for five (5) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the Manitoba Moose on Oct. 12.
Loyns was suspended for delivering a blow to the head of Manitoba's Tomas Mojzis in the first period.
Loyns will miss the Knights' games tonight vs. San Antonio; Oct. 18 and Oct. 20 vs. Houston; Oct. 22 at Grand Rapids; and Oct. 25 at Iowa. He is eligible to return on Oct. 28 vs. Chicago.
