AHL 2004-05 schedule format announced

Springfield, MA â The 2004-05 American Hockey League (AHL) schedule format, released by the league office today, reveals that the Springfield Falcons will meet their six Atlantic Division rivals ten times each during the upcoming 80-game campaign.
The Falcons will host division opponents the Hartford Wolf Pack, Lowell Lock Monsters, Manchester Monarchs, Portland Pirates, Providence Bruins, and Worcester IceCats in five home games at the Springfield Civic Center and travel to face each club five times on the road this season.
The Falcons will take on all seven East Division teams during the season as well. The Falcons will meet the Albany River Rats in six games (3 home, 3 road) and the Norfolk Admirals in four contests (2 home, 2 road). The Binghamton Senators, Bridgeport Sound Tigers, Hershey Bears, Philadelphia Phantoms, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will each provide opposition to the Falcons twice (1 home, 1 road) during the campaign.
The AHL regular season will begin on Wednesday, October 13th and conclude on Sunday, April 17th. The entire 2004-05 schedule is expected to be released later in July.
As previously announced, the Falcons will play their regular season home opener on Saturday, October 23rd at the Springfield Civic Center.
Season ticket packages for the 2004-05 season are currently on sale. Adult full season ticket prices for the 2004-05 campaign remain unchanged for the third straight season at $440 each. Youth (age 12 and under) full season tickets are available for $360. Adult and youth partial season ticket plans as well as flex packs are also on sale.
