
Aeros sign Joel Ward to PTO

HOUSTON, Texas - The American Hockey League's Houston Aeros have recalled winger Joel Lee from the ECHL's Florida Everblades and signed him to a professional tryout, the team announced Monday.
Ward, 25 (2/20/80) spent the past three seasons with the University of Prince Edward Island. Prior to his three-year stint at P.E.I., Ward skated in eight professional playoff games with the Long Beach Ice Dogs of the West Coast Hockey League. From 1997-2001, Ward spend four seasons at the junior level in the Ontario Hockey League with Owen Sound, where he scored 152 points in 235 career games.
Ward, 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, attended the Minnesota Wild's prospect camp in 2003.
