Aeros loan G Kopriva to CHL Austin

HOUSTON, Texas - The American Hockey League's Houston Aeros have loaned goaltender Miroslav Kopriva (MEER-oh-slahv, kop-CHEEV-ka) to the Central Hockey League's Austin Ice Bats, the teams announced Wednesday. Kopriva was originally loaned to Austin on November 17 and was recalled five days later.

Kopriva, 21 (12/5/83), is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 gaa and a .948 save percentage in two games for the Ice Bats. Kopriva is 1-1-0 with a 4.32 gaa and a .873 save percentage in three games for the Aeros. He last appeared in a game for Houston October 28 in Milwaukee.

The 6-foot-2, 176-pound Kopriva is a native of Kladno, Czech Republic. He was 3-7-0 with a 2.68 gaa for Rabat Kladno of the Czech Republic League in 2003-04. Kopriva was Minnesota's sixth-round pick (No. 187 overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
