OVERVIEW

The Houston Aeros (9-3-1-3, 22 pts.) visit the Texas Stars (7-7-0-1, 15 pts.) in the second game of a home-and-home set and the second game of a three-in-three weekend. Houston sits three points out of first place and one point out of second place in the AHL's West Division. The Aeros have earned at least a point in 10 of the last 12 games. Texas holds the No. 4 spot in the West and snapped a three game winless skid with a 3-2 OT win at Houston last night. Houston plays four of five games against the Stars from Nov. 18-26, including another home-and-home set next weekend.

---Jeff Taffe needs 22 games to reach 500 played in the AHL and 28 goals to reach 200 in the AHL.

AEROS/STARS SEASON SERIES

This is the third of 12 meetings this season... The Aeros beat the Stars 5-2 on Oct. 14... The teams play again next Friday and Saturday in a home-and-home starting in Houston... The teams meet on Dec. 16 and 21 at Houston.

AEROS PLAYER NOTES

---Casey Wellman has points (2-3=5) in four of the last five games and in all but three games this season.

---Kris Fredheim signed an entry-level deal with the Wild on Wednesday and was recalled to MIN. He made his NHL debut on Thursday vs. COL. Fredheim was on an AHL deal with the Aeros.

---Drew Bagnall's goal and assist on Nov. 13 equaled his point total from last season. It also marked his first AHL goal since Nov. 27, 2009.

---Jon DiSalvatore has at least a point (5-9=14) in 11 of the last 12 games.

---Chay Genoway has points in seven of his last nine games (1-9=10) and assists in four of the last five games.

---Jeff Taffe has a six-game scoring streak (3-6=9).
