Akron RubberDucks News Release
AKRON, OH - The Erie SeaWolves took three of four games from the Aeros in the final series before the All-Star Break. Monday's 7-5 loss was a season-high 5th straight loss for Akron. The Aeros head to the break with a 56-35 record.
The Aeros got right to work and put two runs on the board in the 1st. Consecutive walks by Jose Constanza and John Drennen started the game. Constanza would score on Matt McBride's double, and McBride would score thanks to an Armando Camacaro single.
Erie got a run back in the third, then took a 6-2 lead with a five-run 5th inning, highlighted by a Jeff Kunkel two run homer.
A pair of sacrifice flies by Matt McBride and Beau Mills in the 7th pulled the Aeros to within 6-4, but Erie got a run back in their half of the 7th. McBride's 7th homer of the season got the difference back to 7-5, but Cody Satterwhite closed it out for his 10th save of the season.
