Aeros Fall 2-0 at Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY --- Philippe Cornet scored twice and Yann Danis stopped all 28 Houston shots as the Oklahoma City Barons shut out the Aeros 2-0 on Sunday at the Cox Cenvention Center.

The loss was Houston's first in regulation this season, ended the team's three-game regulation unbeaten streak and dropped the overall record to 2-1-0-1.

Cornet scored his second goal of the season 12:49 into the first period and added his second of the game on the power play late in the middle stanza (15:52).

Houston goaltender Dennis Endras, in his first start of the season, turned aside a penalty shot attempt by Ryan Keller late in the first period.

The Aeros visit Charlotte on Friday and Saturday before returning home on Sunday, Oct. 23, versus Grand Rapids at 5:05 p.m.
