
Aerial Powers Surgery Update

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today announced guard Aerial Powers underwent surgery this morning to repair a torn Ulnar Collateral Ligament (UCL) in her right thumb. The surgery was performed by Dr. Sanjeev (Sanj) Kakar at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota and is expected to keep Powers sidelined for 8-10 weeks.
The injury occurred during the 80-64 victory against the Los Angeles Sparks on Saturday, June 12. A timeline for her return to activity will be established at a later date and further updates will be provided when appropriate.
