
Adams heads back to AHL

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades president & general manager Craig Brush along with head coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman John Adams has been recalled to the American Hockey League by the Cleveland Barons.
Adams did not register a point in two games with the Everblades this past weekend after being reassigned by the Barons. The 24-year-old heads to back to the AHL where he has skated in 13 total games this year between Springfield, Grand Rapids and Cleveland. The rookie out of Boston College most recently spent three games with the Barons from March 17 through March 25 and failed to pick up a point while notching ten penalty minutes. Adams originally signed with the Everblades on November 10 and has notched 15 points (1g, 14a) in 39 games with Florida.
Prior to turning pro, the native of Wayzata, Minnesota completed a four-year career with Boston College with 29 points in 136 games. Adams was drafted in the third round by the Buffalo Sabres in 2002.
In addition, the Everblades released forward Eric Przepiorka. The 24-year-old rookie skated in five games with the Everblades and did not tally a point. Przepiorka signed with the Everblades on March 21 after completing the collegiate season with Dartmouth College where he notched a career high 32 points (9g, 23a) in 33 games with the Big Green this past season, helping lead Dartmouth to a share of the ECAC Championship.
The Everblades return to action on Friday, March 31 when they host the Pensacola Ice Pilots at 7:30 p.m. from Germain Arena. The first 2,500 fans will receive the final set of Everblades Trading Cards when they enter the arena.
