Bakersfield Condors News Release
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced that forward Alexander Bolduc has been recalled by the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League.
Bolduc, 20, re-joined Bakersfield on March 22nd for five games after his initial call-up by Manitoba. In his second tenure with the Condors, Bolduc scored two goals and two assists, including a shorthanded goal against the Las Vegas Wranglers on March 24th. The 6-foot-2 forward played in 19 ECHL games at the start of the year, scoring eight goals and four assists during that span. Bolduc is tied for the league lead among rookies with three shorthanded goals. He was first called up to the AHL on December 13th and has recorded two goals and three assists in 23 games with the Vancouver Canucks affiliate.
"It's great for Alex to be able to see some more action at a higher level," said Head Coach Marty Raymond. "However, we hope to see him back for the playoffs."
The Condors transferred Andrew Ianiero from the 7-Day Injured Reserve to the 30-Day IR (eligible to return on April 11th), and placed defenseman Oriel McHugh on the 7-Day IR (eligible to return on April 6th).
The Condors host a return match against the Utah Grizzlies on Friday, March 31st. Bring a pillow to join the Condors as we attempt to set the Guinness World Record for largest pillow fight courtesy of WB-TV 12, 106.1 KRAB Radio and American Business Machines. Following the feathery fisticuffs, pillows will then be collected and donated to the Bakersfield Homeless Shelter and other local charities. On Saturday, April 1st, Bakersfield and Phoenix meet up for the Condors' Bakersfield Fog Jersey Raffle and Auction presented by Bud Light. The Condors will turn back the clock and don Fog jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game. Also, everyone in attendance has a chance to win one of five to be given away! All proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA).
