Aces squeek past Rox
August 1, 2004 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Aces News Release
The Aces took advantage of eleven walks from Brockton pitching and rallied from a three-run deficit to edge the Rox 9-8 and with their second series of the season.
The game got off to a lively start, as a three-run second-inning double by SS Saul Bustos put Brockton ahead 5-2. The two teams then continued to put runs on the board until the Rox led 8-5 after three and a half innings.
The Aces countered with one in the sixth on an RBI single from DH Eddie Gerald, and went ahead for good on Gerald's three-run blast in the eighth.
