Alexandria Aces News Release
Alexandria, La. - The Alexandria Aces went up big on the San Angelo Colts early as they won 13-6 at Foster Field Saturday night. The Aces scored five in the first inning. Selwin Langaigne hit his first home run of the year, driving home Albert Gonzalez and Homy Ovalles, giving the Aces a 3-0 lead. Alexandria wasn't done as Madison Edwards drove home Patrick O'Sullivan on a groundout and Bryan Sabatella singled Luis Guance in to give the Aces an early 5-0 lead. After the Colts scored one in the bottom of the first, Palmer Karr Jr. hit is third homer of the year, a solo shot to left. Homy Ovalles also added his second home run of the year when he took Colts reliever Matt Greanead deep to left with a two-run shot. He ended the day with a season-high four hits. Sabatella also had four hits on the day. Aces starter Alexis Sosa pitched well for the second straight time working six innings and giving up four runs on six hits. Sosa struck out seven and walked two for the win. The Aces and Colts finish their series Sunday as the Aces' Angel Guzman goes against the Colts' Brian Henschel. Game time is 7:05 PM.
