August 3, 2012 - Texas Collegiate League (TCL) - Alexandria Aces News Release

Alexandria, LA; August 3, 2012 - The Alexandria Aces of the Texas Collegiate League have announced that tomorrow, Saturday Night, August 4th is the first-ever Saturday Night edition of the popular Shirt-off-Our-Back Night, sponsored by Louisiana Lottery, as lucky fans will win the actual shirts from the Aces' players on the field after the game against the Acadiana Cane Cutters at Bringhurst Field. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. with the first pitch scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Many Aces' fans often see other fans wearing former shirts from the backs of former Aces' players on most night of Aces' games at Bringhurst Field. Come out and support your Aces and maybe you can get lucky and win a shirt from the backs of an Aces' player.

The Aces are battling for the last playoff spot against the other TCL teams as the season winds down. The Aces play next Thursday Night, August 9th, at home for the City of Pineville's "Pack the Park" Night, Free Admission for all Aces' fans. The Aces conclude the regular season the following Saturday, August 11th, as Kisatchie National Forest sponsors Smokey the Bear Night with aces' Team Photos. These 3 home games against the Cane Cutters are essentially a play-in series to the 2012 TCL Playoffs.

Due to the City's recent announcement, Saturday, August 11th may be the last time Bringhurst Field will be used in its present capacity.

The Aces and its local ownership group are looking forward to continuing to provide great, family-friendly entertainment to the Central Louisiana community.
