New Haven lowered their magic number to win their division's first half to two, with a 7-5 victory over the Aces in game two of their doubleheader. Cutters' pitcher, Time Keinath picked up his third win of the season, while closer, Shane Waroff picked up his ninth save. Recently acquired Cutters catcher, Darren Ciraco, hit his first homerun of the season, while Hector Lebron hit an RBI single to extend New Haven's lead to two. The Aces were led by their own catcher, Al Corbeil, who hit his first homerun of the season.
