New Jersey Jackals News Release

Little Falls, NJ- The double header between the New Jersey Jackals and the Elmira Pioneers was rained out today, July 12, 2004, at Yogi Berra Stadium.

After a day of torrential downpours in Little Falls, NJ, both teams waited it out until around 8:15 p.m., when the game was finally called by umpires. The games will be made up on Tuesday, July 13, 2004, with the first game beginning at 5:05 p.m., and the second ballgame being played immediately after. Both games are schedules for seven innings.

Because of the change of schedule on Tuesday, Wednesday July 14, 2004 will also be a double header. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:05 p.m. It is Camp Day at Yogi Berra Stadium. The second game will begin immediately following the first. Both games are also scheduled for seven innings.

With New Haven's loss to the Aces, in game one of a double header, the Jackals pulled to within one game of the Cutters in the South Division Standings. If the Jackals and the Cutters do end up in a tie, at the completion of Wednesday's games, the two teams will compete in a one game playoff on Thursday in New Haven, to determine the South Division champion.
