RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces fell to the Tacoma Rainiers tonight, 10-9 in extra innings after batting back from a five run deficit in the sixth inning.

The Rainiers struck first, with back-to-back homers in the top of the second to take a 3-0 lead.

Reno countered right away, after Henry Ramos hit a solo shot on the first pitch thrown in the bottom of the second. The bomb to left-center field was his seventh of the season, and his 41st RBI of the campaign. The RBI total is second on the team, just trailing Seth Beer's 42.

Tacoma posted two more runs in the top of the fifth, stretching the lead to 5-1 Rainiers.

Reno got back on the board in the bottom of the fifth, with a Josh Rojas sacrifice fly to score to score Jose Herrera and make it 5-2.

In the top of the sixth, Tacoma added two more to make it 7-2 a five-run lead heading into the home half.

The Aces bounced back in a big way, scoring five in the bottom of the sixth to tie things up at 7. Andrew Young led off the inning with a double, scoring on the next at-bat when Beer singled. Beer would move to second on a Ramos walk, and then score on a Jamie Ritchie single to make it 7-4. Ramos came around to score on a Jose Herrera double, making it 7-5.

The game got knotted at seven after Nick Heath grounded out. Ritchie raced home from third on the throw to first, scoring before the throw from first went to the backstop and allowed Jose Herrera to score on the error.

Reno took the lead in the seventh, after Ildemaro Vargas led off with a double and came around to score on a single by Young to make it 8-7.

In the bottom of the eighth, Reno scored again on a solo shot by Heath to make it a 9-7 Aces lead.

Tacoma scored two in the ninth to send it to extra innings, then add another in the 10th to take the win 10-9.

The Aces will be back in action tomorrow, with first pitch set for 6:35 p.m. P.T from Greater Nevada Field. Tickets are available at RenoAces.com, or by texting TIXX to 21003, and the game can be heard on KPLY 630AM or on RenoAces.com with Zack Bayrouty on the call.
