ABERDEEN, MD - Luke Ritter homered against Baltimore Orioles rehabber John Means but the IronBirds had the last laugh, beating the Brooklyn Cyclones, the High-A affiliate of the New York Mets, 7-2 Sunday at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium to win the series five games to two.

BIG MOMENTS
Rylan Bannon broke the 1-1 tie in the bottom of the third inning, blasting a two-run home run into the left field bullpen against Alec Kisena. Bannon and JD Mundy later scored in the fifth inning on Zach Watson's two-run single to push the lead to 6-2.
Against Baltimore Orioles rehabber John Means, Luke Ritter slammed a solo home run over the left-center field wall in the top of the second to tie the game 1-1. Ritter launched his team-leading 10th homer of the season.
Aberdeen's Garrett Stallings came on in relief for Means in the third inning and finished the game for the victory, throwing 77 pitches to cover seven innings of one-run ball with five strikeouts and three hits allowed.

NEWS AND NOTES
Aberdeen won the series five games to two and has won nine of 11 against Brooklyn this season with seven more scheduled games to play.

RHP Alec Kisena struck out a season-high-tying eight batters on Sunday.
SS Ronny Mauricio missed his fourth straight game with a sore hand...He is considered day-to-day.
