Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - A super weekend for 16 year-old forward Jordan Weal has garnered him the honour of being the Western Hockey League's first player of the week for the 2008-09 season.
In the season opener this past Friday night, Weal assisted on two goals in a 5-3 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings at Westman Communications Group Place. Two days later, he continued his roll, scoring the opening goal, and assisting on two others, as the Pats lost in a shoot-out to the Wheat Kings 4-3.
The Pats will hit the road Friday night, making the trip up north to face the Prince Albert Raiders, with a return affair 24 hours later with a 7pm puck drop Saturday September 27th, and the Brandt Centre.
