Swift Current Broncos News Release

The Swift Current Broncos are pleased to announce that forward Dale Weise has signed with the New York Rangers.

Weise, 20 years old, from Winnipeg spent three seasons in a Broncos' uniform where he totaled 51 goals and 61 assists for 112 points to go along with 235 penalty minutes in 173 games.

Dale was selected in the 4th round 111th over-all by the Rangers at the NHL entry draft this past June.

Broncos' Head Coach and General Manager Dean Chynoweth says: "We would like to congratulate Dale on his contract, it comes as no surprise that he has come to terms with the Rangers. Dale had a great second half and playoffs last season, he looked like a player ready to move onto pro hockey. We would like to thank Dale for all his efforts in Swift Current and wish him the best of luck in his pro career."
