
A new quarterback for the Alouettes

Montreal, MontrealAlouettes.com - Montreal Alouettes' Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp announced today the acquisitions of quarterback Kliff Kingsbury and running back Bruce Perry.
Kliff Kingsbury (6'4'', 214 lbs.) left Texas Tech with 39 team records, 13 conference records and seven NCAA records in 2002. He became the third player to pass for over 10,000 yards and to throw more than 1000 passes in college ranks. Since then, he spent time in the NFL with the New England Patriots (2003), the New Orleans Saints (2004), the Denver Broncos (2005), the New York Jets (2005) and the Buffalo Bills (2006). The 27-year-old quarterback also played for the Cologne Centurions in the NFL Europe.
Running back Bruce Perry (5'10'', 200 lbs.) who gained 2,424 yards with the Maryland Terrapins from 1999 through 2003. In 2001, he was a finalist for the Doak Walker Award, rewarding the best running back in the country. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2004 and played five games in 2005 and 2006. He is 26.
Both players are expected at training camp in late May in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
