Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis used the long ball Sunday afternoon to down visiting Fresno 6-3 at AutoZone Park.

Rick Ankiel tied the game in the bottom of the first with a two-run homer for his 30th round tripper of the year. Ankiel's 30 home runs are the fifth most by a Redbird in a single season and the most since Scott Seabol hit 31 for the ‘Birds in 2004. Ankiel finished the day with two doubles, a home run and two runs scored. Joe Mather and Tagg Bozied each hit home runs with Mather finishing the day a triple shy of the cycle. For Bozied it was his second home run in as many days.

Scott McClain staked the Grizzlies to an early lead with a two-run home run in the top of the first. McClain drove in three runs with two hits to lead Fresno.

Memphis starter Mike Parisi earned his first win at home since his first start of the season on April 10. The right-hander allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings of work to pick up his sixth win of the year. Mark Worrell nailed down his fourth save with a scoreless ninth inning. Matt Palmer was pinned with the loss after giving up five runs on nine hits, including three home runs.

The Redbirds will send Mike Smith to the bump tomorrow to face Fresno's Travis Blackley. First pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m.
