
Zephyrs Defeat Beavers, 7-5

New Orleans Baby Cakes News Release
The New Orleans Zephyrs defeated the visiting Portland Beavers by the score of 7-5 on a Ricky Ledee pinch hit walk-off homer.
With the Beavers up 5-3 going into the ninth inning, the Zephyrs were able to cut the lead to 5-4 when catch Robinson Cancel singled to score left fielder Chip Ambres. Ledee then came up to bat and knocked in a three-run homer to give the Zephyrs the win. It was Ledee's only at bat of the game.
Third baseman Fernando Tatis went 3-4 in the game and got the scoring starting when he hit a two-run homer in the first inning, his 12th of the year.
Relief pitcher Willie Collazo (4-6) gets the win in relief after shutting out the Beavers and giving up two hits in the final two innings of play.
Portland reliever Scott Cassidy (1-2) gave up all four runs in the ninth inning to record the loss.
The win evens the home series at 1-1. The teams will play again on Monday in a game scheduled for 7:00 PM CT.
