Frisco, TX FEB. 29, 2012 - On Thursday the Texas Legends will honor the Coolidge Family as Texas Legends of the Night. The Coolidge Family is affected by Trichothiodystrophy (TTD), a rare, autosomal recessive disease that affects fewer than 130 people world-wide. This family considers themselves lucky, some people with rare diseases go through life without ever receiving a diagnosis.

Joining the Coolidge family at center court will be Metro PCS' Regional Vice President of Sales, Steve Seay, and Lisa Campbell, Director of Advertising and Public Relations. Steve and Lisa, along with the Coolidge family, will recognize Rare Disease Day with the Texas Legends.

"It's important to keep in mind the rare diseases that we often overlook," commented Texas Legends Owner Donnie Nelson. "The Texas Legends are proud to bring forth awareness to this day in order to educate on a very important matter."

The Legends will also honor Staff Sergeant Cale Coyle and Staff Sergeant Courtney Thompson-Coyle who return from a three year tour from 52nd Fighter Wing, Spangdahlem Airbase Germany. While stationed in Germany, Cale was deployed twice to Bahrain. Cale is part of the 52nd Mission Support Group - 52nd Communication Squadron Courtney is part of the 52nd Medical Group - 52nd Aerospace Medical Squadron

"The Texas Legends sincerely appreciate the sacrifice of time that these men and women have made in order to protect our country and our families," commented Nelson. "We are proud to welcome them home as real Legends of the Night."

The Legends host the Austin Toros at 7:00PM on Thursday at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
