Raptors 905 News Release
Raptors 905 (9-15), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors dropped the season series to the Windy City Bulls (9-12) 119-124 Thursday evening. Jontay Porter led the 905 with a game-high 28 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, three blocks, and a steal. Windy City's Adama Sanogo put up 27 points and 15 rebounds in the victory.
The two teams opened the ball game with a series of runs before closing out the first quarter tied at 29 points apiece. The Bulls found their rhythm in the second quarter, outscoring the visitors 39-21 and taking an 18-point advantage going into halftime.
The Bulls continued to build off their momentum in the third quarter, gaining their largest lead of the ga,e, 24. The 905 were able to string together a set of runs, to bring the lead down to 10, before closing out the quarter down 14. The visitors continued to mount their comeback bid in the fourth quarter behind a series of stops and buckets bringing the game within two points with under three minutes remaining. The two teams traded baskets throughout the fourth, with the Bulls holding onto their two-point lead with 19.7 seconds remaining. The 905 attempted to close out the game, but were unable to overcome the deficit, dropping the season series to the Bulls.
The 905 received complementary scoring from Mouhamadou Gueye who added 24 points, 11 rebounds, and matched a career-high six blocks in the loss. Henri Drell contributed 23 points, nine rebounds, two assists, three steals, and two blocks in the matchup.
Raptors 905 return home for back-to-back matchups against the Indiana Mad Anta beginning Thursday, tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m. The Bulls host the G League Ignite Friday at 7:00 p.m.
