Ottawa 67's News Release

OTTAWA - The Ottawa 67's acquired a pair of second-round draft picks on Friday in a deal with the Owen Sound Attack.

In the deal, Ottawa gets the Attack's second-round selection in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft as well as second-rounder in 2021. Going the other way is 18-year-old defenceman Carter Robertson.

Robertson, who is entering his third OHL season, had six goals and 21 points in 101 career games with Ottawa.

"We feel extremely comfortable with our defence corps and this move is in the best interest of Carter's development," said 67's General Manager James Boyd. "We thank Carter for all his contributions to our team during his time in Ottawa."

The 67's are in Gatineau Friday night to take on the Olympiques at the Complexe Branchaud-Brière in Ottawa's second-last pre-season tuneup. The Barber Poles kick off the regular season at home on Sept. 21 when they host the Mississauga Steelheads.
