66ers To Face Skyforce In First-Ever Playoff Series

TULSA, Okla., April 5, 2010 - The Tulsa 66ers will face the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the first round of the 2010 NBA Development League Playoffs, the first-ever playoff appearance since the franchise began in 2005.
Game 1 of the series will be Thursday, April 8 at the Tulsa Convention Center, with tip-off scheduled at 12:30 p.m. CDT. Tickets for the general public will go on-sale at 9 a.m. tomorrow at the BOK Center box office and at the 66ers front office, located at 2727 E. 21st St., Suite 500 in Tulsa. Fans can also take advantage of a special playoff ticket offer, which includes a ticket, a hot dog and a soda for only $11, and is only available at the 66ers office or by calling (918) 585-8444.

For the second consecutive year, the top three seeds selected their first round opponent from the teams ranked five through eight. The 66ers finished the regular season with a franchise-high 27 wins and are the eighth-seed while the Skyforce finished 32-18 and are the fourth-seed. Tulsa finished 3-2 on the season against the Skyforce, including a 2-1 record at the Tulsa Convention Center.
For the first time, the eight qualifying teams will play best-of-three series in both the quarter and semifinals, leading up to the third consecutive year of best-of-three Final series. In all three rounds, the team with lower seed will host the first game, while the team with higher seed will host the second, and, if necessary, third and deciding game.
