Skyforce-66ers To Square Off In First Round Of 2010 NBA Development League Playoffs

Sioux Falls, S.D. (April 5, 2010) - The fourth-seeded Sioux Falls Skyforce will face the eight-seeded Tulsa 66ers in the first round of the 2010 NBA Development League Playoffs. For the second consecutive year, the top three seeds selected their first round opponent from the teams ranked five through eight.

For the first time, the eight qualifying teams will play best-of-three series in both the quarter and semifinals, leading up to the third consecutive year of best-of-three Final series. In all three rounds, the team with lower seed will host the first game, while the team with higher seed will host the second, and, if necessary, third and deciding game.

Sioux Falls went 2-3 against Tulsa during the regular season. The Skyforce went 2-1 at home 1-1 at the Tulsa Convention Center. Sioux Falls makes their 14th postseason appearance in 21 seasons while Tulsa makes their first postseason appearance during their five-year history. The Oklahoma City Thunder-owned franchise is coached by former Skyforce head/assistant coach Nate Tibbetts.

The Skyforce's next game is on Thursday, April 8 on the road against the Tulsa 66ers. Tipoff is set for 12:30 p.m. CT at the Tulsa Convention Center.
