San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers rallied for a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes on Saturday night at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino.

Austin Gallagher's two-out RBI single plated the go-ahead run in the seventh inning, as the 66ers snapped the Quakes' two-game winning streak.

Quakes' reliever Nick Pugliese (2-3) allowed a two-out triple to clean-up hitter Scott Van Slyke in the bottom of the seventh inning. Gallagher followed with a single to left, putting Inland Empire up 4-3.

The Quakes, who out-hit the 66ers 13-10, couldn't muster a hit over their final two innings. Matt Sartor struck out Mike Trout with a man aboard to end the eighth, then fanned two of three hitters in the ninth to end the game and record his sixth save of the year.

Rancho Cucamonga had a 2-0 lead, after scoring twice in the third inning against Inland Empire starter Miguel Sanfler. Gabe Jacobo, who had three hits on the night, singled and eventually scored on a fielding error, putting the Quakes up 1-0. Jon Townsend singled home Eric Oliver later in the inning, giving the Quakes a 2-0 advantage.

The 66ers tied the game in the third, as Quakes' starter Patrick Corbin allowed RBI singles to Van Slyke and Gallagher, making it 2-2.

Johan Garcia's sac fly against Corbin in the sixth, put the 66ers up 3-2. Corbin would finish the sixth, allowing three runs on seven hits over six innings.

The Quakes got even in the seventh with an RBI hit from Dillon Baird, knotting the game at 3-3 against eventual winner Geison Aguasviva (2-4). After Jacobo and Oliver followed with a single and a walk, respectively, to load the bases, Angel Castillo lined out to Garcia at third base, ending the Quakes' rally.

Thanks to a loss by High Desert, the Quakes (17-13, 56-44) remain a game up in the South Division. On Sunday, the Quakes wrap up their three-game series in San Bernardino, sending Ryan Chaffee (4-4) to the mound against 66ers' righthander Josh Walters (0-5). Game time from San Bernardino on Sunday night is 6:05pm.

The Quakes return to The Epicenter on Tuesday, July 27th, as they host the San Jose Giants in a three-game series. The upcoming home stand includes Terra Vista Animal Hospital "Bark in the Ballpark" on Wednesday, July 28th. Tickets can be purchased by calling (909) 481-5000 or anytime online at rcquakes.com. We hope to see you at The Epicenter...Go Quakes!
