Loveland, CO - The Ontario Reign (4-2-1-0), proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, defeated the Colorado Eagles (4-4-0-0) 6-2 before 5,289 at the Budweiser Events Center Saturday night. Derek Couture tallied a goal and an assist in the 350th game of his professional career and goaltender Jean-Francois Berube recorded his first ECHL victory.

Colorado took an early lead, as Chad Costello beat Berube 1:16 into play to give the Eagles a 1-0 advantage. Matt Tassone answered for Ontario at 16:09 with a shot that slipped in just under the crossbar to tie the game at one. The teams were headed into the first intermission at a draw, but Adam Chorneyko slapped a knuckleball over Berube's shoulder with just nine-tenths of a second on the clock to put the Eagles up 2-1 at the break.

Like last night, the Reign offense ignited in the second period. Tassone recorded his second goal of the game at 5:46, as he redirected Geoff Irwin's shot past Chris Carrozzi to even things up at two. C.J. Stretch jammed home a rebound at 9:58 to give Ontario its first lead of the contest and Irwin extended the Reign's lead to 4-2 at 14:18.

Couture and Francois Brisebois each scored their fourth goals of the season in the third period to seal the win for Ontario. Berube turned aside 25 of 27 Colorado shots for the win, while Carrozzi got the loss with 29 saves on 35 shots.
