Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, surrendered five special teams goals and fell 7-2 at Kalamazoo Sunday afternoon.

Kalamazoo struck right back, as F Brandon Svendsen scored on a shorthanded breakaway, and C Justin Taylor blasted a wrist shot on the power play to grant the Wings a 4-1 lead through two periods.

F Tyler Johnson brought the Express to back within two goals when fired a shot from the left post and beat G Ryan Zapolski. It was as close as the Express would come, as Kalamazoo scored two more power play goals from Svendsen and D Mike Matczak, and F Nick Sirota finished the scoring with an even-strength marker for the final 7-2 score.
