Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY- The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (6-1) are experiencing the franchises' best start. At 6-1 Oklahoma City remains perfect on the road.
Last week the Yard Dawgz hosted a struggling South Georgia (1-6) team. Oklahoma City got off to a slow start and allowed the Wildcats to lead late into the first-half. The Yard Dawgz regained the lead with under a minute to play in the second quarter and didn't look back in a 66-33 win over South Georgia.
This week Oklahoma City travels to Bossier City to take on another team struggling to win.
"They're a good football team," said Head Coach Jeff Jarnigan, "they play hard for 60 minutes, but they haven't had a lot of luck and hopefully it can continue one more week."
Oklahoma City isn't taking Bossier City lightly. The last win the Battle Wings had came against the Yard Dawgz during the 2005 season.
Oklahoma City kicks off at Bossier-Shreveport on Saturday, May 27th at 7:00 p.m. The team returns to the Ford Center to take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados on June 3rd. For more information contact the Yard Dawgz at 405.228.3294 or visit the team at www.okcyarddawgz.com.
