The Catch of the Week is a new honor that highlights the player who makes the best catch of the week.
U.S. ARMY IRONMAN OF THE WEEK
Jones (5-10, 185, Illinois State), in his third af2 season, made his presence felt on both sides of the ball and on special teams for the Central Valley Coyotes in the team's 68-54 Week 8 home loss to Spokane. He literally did everything in his power to help the Coyotes. On offense, the former Illinois State product had eight catches for 119 yards, both game-highs, and one touchdown. He also amassed 86 kick return yards, including a 50-yard return for a touchdown. Jones added three total tackles and a team-high three pass breakups on the defensive side of the ball. This is the first Ironman of the Week honor of Jones' career.
SCHUTT OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mager (6-3, 200, Indianapolis) led Louisville to an important, 51-38, East Division win at home against Albany in Week 8. The second-year player from Indianapolis collected af2 Week 8 highs in receptions (14) and receiving yards (207) and also caught five touchdowns. Mager came through in the clutch as well. His last two scores came late in the fourth quarter with the game tied at 38-38. Mager currently leads the league in receiving yards (891) and is tied for the league lead in receptions with 70. This is the second Offensive Player of the Week Award of Mager's career. He earned the same honor last season for the First Round of the 2005 ArenaCup Playoffs.
ADT DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
