Knoxville, TN. Friday March 25th is not only Game 1 of the SPHL Playoffs for the First Place Knoxville Ice Bears. It is also Trading Card Giveaway Night. The first 1000 fans will receive 1 complete pack of Ice Bears playing cards. As with other giveaways lines are expected to form early and the team expects to run out of the free cards by 6:45pm. One single line will form outside the arena on the east side (facing the Knoxville Police Department). Doors open at 6:30, Puck Drops 7:30.

The Knoxville Ice Bears are also proud to announce Ice Bear tough man Mike Craigen has worked out a deal that ALL KIDS (12 and under) can purchase silver level seating for only $5 to any Knoxville Ice Bears playoff home game. Normal playoff price is $11 a savings of over 1/2 price.

Game 1 Friday, March 25th at Knoxville vs. Columbus

Game 2 Sunday, March 27th In Columbus vs. Knoxville Ice Bears

Game 3 Monday, March 28th at Knoxville vs. Columbus (if necessary)

Kids $5 silver tickets can be purchased at any ticket outlet.

Normal playoff price is $11 for silver level a savings of over 1/2 price.

The Ice Bears Players Need YOU!

The President's Cup, the league's leading scorers, the top attendance figures in the Southern Professional Hockey League and even the best run organization in southern hockey all mean little to nothing now.

The regular season is merely a chance to set the stage and provide rankings and match-ups going into to post-season. Why ? Because now, it's play-off time. A time when players elevate their game and rise to the occasion. Because any knowledgeable fan, player or anyone associated with the game know that how an athlete performs in the playoffs will define them as a player.

On the flip side, the players will need you..... the loyal fans who have supported us all year long through thick and thin, fair and stormy weather and even a less than desirable losing streak leading into the post-season. It is now that we, the players and the Knoxville IceBears organization need you the most. We need you to do as you have done all season and multiply it as much as you can and in turn you will be treated to the most exciting, intense and entertaining professional sporting time of the year....... hockey play-offs.

Everything we have accomplished as a family to this point; as players, staff and fans together will all be forgotten unless we take a stand right now and raise each other up to the top of our game. In the words of team captain and veteran play-off performer Todd MacIsaac, "you may never, ever get another chance to do something special like this again." That about sums it up I'd say...... we'll see you all at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum armed and ready to chase down the Southern Professional Hockey League Championship.......
