FireAntz Eliminated from Playoffs

[Fayetteville, N.C.]—The Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) were eliminated from the playoffs Wednesday night. The Columbus Cottonmouths defeated them by a score of 4-2.
The FireAntz finished with an overall record of 32-25 and set a franchise record for wins in a season. Head coach Derek Booth was named the inaugural SPHL coach of the year. Chad Collins was named the All-Star SPHL goaltender as well as Goalie of the Year. Also, Steve Roberts was selected by the fans as the ‘Bud Light Player of the Year.’
