PENSACOLA, Fla. - After winning 11 straight games in late July and early August, the Jacksonville Suns (27-20, 61-53) dropped their fourth straight game on Friday, as the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (25-22, 50-66) secured a series win with a 5-2 victory at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium.

Suns starter Bryan Evans (4-4) served up several early runs, including two on a double by Pensacola pitcher Tim Crabbe (6-8), as Jacksonville fell an early 3-0 hole. Jacksonville would get as close as 4-2 before the Wahoos solved away their third straight win over the Suns.

Down 3-0, Mark Canha got Jacksonville within two runs with an RBI double in the third. When Pensacola added a run in its half of the third to extend the lead to 4-1, Jacksonville responded on Michael Main's RBI single in the fourth.

Crabbe, however, limited the Suns to just the two runs on seven hits in five innings, striking out five and walking one. Meanwhile, Evans was charged with four earned runs in his five frames, registering just one strikeout and issuing his first walk since May 31, also against Pensacola.

Mike Costanzo's RBI single in the seventh added an insurance run for the Blue Wahoos, who climbed to within two games of Jacksonville for first place in the Southern League South division.

Canha and Main proved to be the lone offensive stars for Jacksonville, each tallying multi-hit games, with Canha's two doubles leading the way for the Suns.

Jacksonville sends left-hander Justin Nicolino (2-2, 6.05) to the mound in the fourth game of the five-game series on Saturday, searching for its first win of the series. The Blue Wahoos will counter with right-hander Josh Smith (9-8, 3.77), with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.

Suns fans can listen to Saturday's game on the Suns Baseball Network, 94.1 WSOS-FM or through jaxsuns.com, MiLB.com or the Suns iPhone or Android app, beginning at 7:15 p.m. ET with the UF Health Suns Pre-Game Show.
