Chicago Sky News Release
CHICAGO - With just under two minutes remaining in the first half of the AT&T WNBA All-Star 2021 Game, Chicago Sky guard Allie Quigley will compete for her third MTN DEW 3-Point Contest title Wednesday night during halftime at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Quigley, who won the event at the 2018 All-Star Game in Minneapolis and the 2017 All-Star Game in Seattle, will be joined in this year's field by Connecticut Sun forward Jonquel Jones, Seattle Storm guard Jewell Loyd, and New York Liberty guard Sami Whitcomb. This marks the fourth 3-Point contest for Quigley, who also participated in 2019. Jones, Loyd, and Whitcomb are first-time participants.
For 2021, the contest is modified as to number of players participating and there will be no Skills Challenge due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Information on the charities each is competing for will be announced at a later date.
Fans can tune into the MTN DEW 3-Point Contest live on ESPN after the conclusion of the first half of tonight's mid-season showcase.
