
Betnijah Laney and Sami Whitcomb Represent New York at AT&T WNBA All-Star 2021

LAS VEGAS - Tonight the New York Liberty were represented by guards Betnijah Laney and Sami Whitcomb in the AT&T WNBA 2021 All-Star Game and WNBA MTN DEW 3-Point Contest.
Laney, a first-time WNBA All-Star, came off the bench in Team WNBA's 93-85 win over USA Women's Basketball Team. Over 16:48 minutes, Betnijah recorded four points, two assists and one rebound in the victory.
Whitcomb, the WNBA's leading three-point shooter, totaled 26 points, and placed third in her first-ever WNBA MTN DEW 3-Point Contest. Chicago Sky's Allie Quigley won this year's contest for the third time in her career.
Later this month, the New York Liberty will be represented by Rebecca Allen on the Australian Women's National Team in the 2020 Tokyo Games. The Liberty (10-11) will be back in action on Sunday, August 15 at 7 p.m. ET against the Minnesota Lynx (12-7) in their second meeting of the season, and first of two August bouts in the Twin Cities.
