2019 Silvertips Training Camp Presented by Jimmy John's Will be Open to the Public, Starts August 22

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), two-time Western Conference champions and seven-time U.S. Division champions of the Western Hockey League, today announced the complete schedule for 2019 Silvertips Training Camp presented by Jimmy John's, opening for the public with its first on-ice session on Thursday, Aug. 22, starting at 10:30 a.m. All training camp scrimmages will be hosted inside Angel of the Winds Arena in downtown Everett and are open to the public, free of charge.

GREEN VS GREY GAME: SUNDAY, AUG. 25 (Noon)

The tradition of showcasing Silvertips present and future talent in a competitive environment and intrasquad format continues with the annual Green vs. Grey Game at A.O.T.W. Arena on Sunday, Aug. 25 at Noon. The game format will be presented with three 20-minute periods, and admission is free to all fans in attendance with general admission seating offered in the lower bowl of A.O.T.W. Arena.

On Saturday, Aug. 24, the Silvertips annual rookie showcase, now presented as the Silvertips Prospects Game is 3:00 p.m. (two 30-minute halves) and completes Saturday's on-ice sessions, offering a closer look at younger Silvertips prospects, including those in the 2003 and 2004-born category. Last season's Tips Prospects Game included signed prospects Olen Zellweger, Ty Gibson, Carter Halamandaris, and Nate Goodbrandson and past participants with Silvertips experience on the include defensemen Gianni Fairbrother, and forwards Gage Goncalves and Dawson Butt.

Fans attending any training camp session at A.O.T.W. Arena, Thursday through Sunday, are invited to enter through the main doors at the intersection of Hewitt Ave. and Oakes Ave. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to the first scrimmage of each morning and afternoon session, and Saturday's Prospects Game. Doors for the Green vs. Grey Game on Sunday will open 30 minutes prior to opening face-off.

This year's camp session includes over 90 players to compete for an active roster spot or position on the club's 50-man player protected list, divided into six teams. The Silvertips 2019-20 training camp roster will be announced soon.

Ticket plans begin as low as $130 for the entire season.

The Silvertips open the pre-season on Friday, Aug. 30 during the Delta Hotels Preseason Classic in downtown Everett, at 7:00 p.m. against the Tri-City Americans. Preseason Packs, offering all nine games of the tournament, are on sale for $75. "Everett Only" packs (offering all three Silvertips pre-season games in the tournament) are available for only $35 per seat while single-game preseason tickets (general admission) are on sale.
