2009 Argos Schedule Features Rivalry And Weekend Games

Toronto - The Toronto Argonauts Football Club is pleased to announce its 2009 home schedule. 2009 brings a fresh start with new Head Coach Bart Andrus in place and the Argos are thrilled to bring fans more Friday night and Saturday afternoon games, as well as more games featuring East rivals the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and the Montreal Alouettes, as the Boatmen begin their journey to fight to represent the East in the Grey Cup Championship in Calgary.

The 2009 season of Argos football is presented by President's Choice Financial and kicks off at Hamilton on Canada Day. The Double Blue face the Saskatchewan Roughriders for their home opener on Saturday, July 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Rogers Centre, a time that is great for an affordable family outing. The team brings its fans an incredible five Friday Night Football games, including the Friday, September 11 Labour Day Classic rematch against the Tabbies. The post-Labour Day playoff push also features Hamilton again on Friday, October 23 and two games against East Champions the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, November 7 both at the family-friendly 1:00 p.m. timeframe.

New for 2009, Argos season ticket holders will be receiving a coupon book entitling them to discounts around the GTA on everything from restaurants to hotels and more. As well, Argos season ticket holders get the best value per game and are invited to special events exclusive to season ticket holders.
