
2007-2008 Central Hockey League Schedule Released

The Central Hockey League has today released the complete playing schedule for the 2007-2008 season, beginning the 544 game campaign on Friday, October 19th and concluding on Saturday, March 22nd. Each of the CHL's 17 member clubs will play a 64 game schedule. Just over 75% of all contests will take place on Fridays (33.27%), Saturdays (33.27%) or Sundays (8.82%), with nearly half (49.8%) of the schedule featuring divisional match-ups.
10 member teams will qualify for post-season play, consisting of five clubs from each conference, with the 4th and 5th seeded teams in each conference playing a best of three wild card round to open post-season competition. The remaining three rounds (Conference Semifinals, Conference Finals and Ray Miron President's Cup Finals) will all utilize best of seven game formats. The defending champion Colorado Eagles and the Laredo Bucks will meet twice in rematches of the 2006-2007 Finals, facing off at the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday, November 17th and on Sunday, January 6th at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
The schedule will be highlighted by the 2008 CHL All-Star Game in Broomfield, Colorado, hosted by the Rocky Mountain Rage on Wednesday, January 16th at the Broomfield Event Center.
