Macon Knights News Release
MACON, Ga. â The 2005 Knightingales dance team was selected last night in front of an enthusiastic crowd at the Whiskey River Comedy Club. The Knights selected 25 finalists from two open auditions to attend Wednesday's final audition. From the 25 finalists, 18 were selected to join co-choreographers April Dickey and Brandi Ingersoll to make up the 2005 squad.
The finalists performed a routine, which they learned at the first two open auditions, in groups of three before a panel of judges including celebrities Sabrina Sikora (professional model) and Brandon Long (41 NBC News co-anchor). Ron Armour, Director of Marketing and Game Operations, represented the Knights staff on the panel of judges. Armour was pleased with the performances by the finalists and with the number of people who attended the event.
"I was most impressed by the number of our fans who came out to support the girls," said Armour. "I thought each one of the finalists did a great job performing and it really made selecting just 18 girls a difficult process. I couldn't be happier with the great group of girls we selected for the 2005 season and I think they will represent our organization well."
Don't miss the action of eight great home games as the Knights kickoff the 2005 season on Friday, April 1st against the Florida Firecats. Season ticket packages are on sale now starting at just $56 and five-game plans start at just $45.
