2003 Playoff Tickets On Sale Wednesday

Zebulon, N.C. --- The Carolina Mudcats are placing Southern League playoff tickets on sale Wednesday, July 16, for the Eastern Division Championship Series (EDCS) and the Southern League Championship Series (SLCS).

The Mudcats will host Games One and Two of the best-of-five EDCS on Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:15 PM ET and Thursday, September 4th at 7:15 PM ET.

Should the Mudcats win that series, they will host Games Three, Four and Five of the best-of-five SLCS, which is scheduled to begin two days after the completion of the EDCS. Games Four and Five will be played if necessary.

Mudcats tickets may be purchased by phone at (919) 269-2287 or walk-up at Five County Stadium. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.gomudcats.com.

Walk-up orders can be purchased with credit cards, checks or cash. Phone or internet orders must be placed with credit cards. The Mudcats accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

Ticket prices at Five County Stadium for the 2003 playoffs are identical to the 2003 regular season: $8.50 for Premium Field-Level, $7.00 for Box, $6.00 for Reserved Field-Level, and $4.50 for General Admission Grandstand seats.

Children ages seven to 14 receive a $1.00 discount on Box and Reserved Field-Level seats, and $1.50 off General Admission tickets. Children age six and under enter free for Box, Reserved Field-Level and General Admission seats. Senior citizens and students receive $1.00 off Box, Reserved Field-Level and General Admission seats. All Active Military Personnel and immediate families will receive free Box seats throughout the post-season.

The Mudcats, who are in their first campaign as the Florida Marlins Double-A affiliate, won the first half title by six games, for their second consecutive first half title and fifth in franchise history.

Carolina's only league championship was in 1995.
